Chasse-Galerie3
Join the adventure. The sailboat Chasse-Galerie3 will be, if the stars are well aligned, a travelling exhibition-center to introduce the collection of my Paul Gauguin secret self-portraits. The mainsail will be the canvas to support the images, with an incredibly precise perspective in retrospect. The genoa, as a disciple of John Lenon, will carry on the emblematic sign of Universal Peace. Obviously, there is still a lot of work to do to tie the project, but for now let’s say that it is the main focus of the "foundation". The ship will sail for the first time in 8 years at the beginning of May 2012.
The project will initially begin over a period of 24 months starting in May 2012. First, training on the St. Lawrence River, further down than St-Jean-Port-Joli. Meanwhile, preparation and adaptation of the museum and nautical equipment. In this regard, although the project might be financed by yours truly, currently sponsorship and donations will be a more than important asset to maximize communication and safety of the sailboat.
In a second step, the adventure begins. Gauguin leaves again to conquer the world. The messenger that I am, takes him to visit the major seaports. First Montreal, then Quebec, and Boston and New York. We cross the Atlantic to France at Pont-Avens, perhaps Amsterdam. Sailing down south on Rio and Buenos Aires, Strait of Magellan and then north direction on Lima, The Marquesas and Papetee, Sidney, Cape Bonne Espérance and then again back to the Atlantic and the Caribbean, Miami and finally return back home. Quite as full program, right?
